Matrix computations and practical computational complexity. Optimization. Contemporary applications of mathematical computation. Assignments using a computer and mathematical software are an important component of this course.
Mathematics 1700A/B or a minimum mark of 55% in Mathematics 1600A/B. Pre-or Corequisite(s): Calculus 2302A/B, Calculus 2402A/B or Mathematics 2500A/B or Numerical and Mathematical Methods 2276A/B or Numerical and Mathematical Methods 2277A/B or the former Calculus 2502A/B.
