This is a research-based course involving an independent research project in chemistry, a research thesis, and a public oral presentation of the results. Professional development activities include skills for critical analysis of research, technical writing, and research ethics.
Completion of any 1.0 courses from (Chemistry 3320A/B, Chemistry 3371F, Chemistry 3372F/G, Chemistry 3373F) and registration in (Honours) Specialization in Chemistry or in Honours Specialization in Biochemistry and Chemistry. Students registered in other modules require special permission of the Department.
15 laboratory hours/week, 1.5 course. Typically taken in the final year. Permission of the Department is required.
