CHINESE LITERATURE AS WORLD LITERATURE

Description

This course approaches Chinese literature from comparative and global perspectives as an integral part of world literature. The course examines how Chinese literature travels outside China and is read, received, and appropriated through translation, adaptation, and international prizes.

1.0 Essay course from Category A or B.

Antirequisites

Chinese 3951F/G if taken in 2021-22.
