The course considers the links between gender, economy, environment, class, sexuality, environmental racism, and environmental justice. Students examine key environmental issues, such as climate catastrophe, the “green†economy, pollution, and biodiversity from feminist perspectives. Students also consider how various forms of oppression, including racism, sexism, and imperialism, shape environmental discourses.
GSWS 2220E or GSWS 2302F/G, or the former GSWS 2273E, or permission of the Department.
