This course examines contemporary legal controversies in Canada, including the relationship between Indigenous people and the legal realm, the gendered and raced composition of the judiciary, judicial misconduct and its regulation, lawyer ethics when defending guilty clients, and the most pressing legal issues currently before our courts.
